Manfred Lang retires
Hottwil. After more than 20 years as Managing Director of aXpel composites AG in Hottwil, Manfred Lang retired at the end of June and handed over responsibility to his successor.
"I had a great and exciting time. However, it is now time for not only the parts manufactured in Hottwil to see the world, but also me. Having dedicated a large part of my working life to aXpel composites, I will of course leave with one eye laughing and one eye crying," says Manfred Lang in a farewell interview. The successor can build on the company's 70-year history. As delegate of the Board of Directors, Mr Carlo Somaini will take over the management for the time being.

With the integration of the company into the aXpel group, new business areas could be connected, and existing ones strengthened thanks to the resulting synergies.
To ensure that production also functions smoothly and efficiently, many processes run behind it. These were consistently digitalised via a cloud-based management system. In this way, the necessary information and applications are made available to the employees centrally and in real time.
"We offer far more than just technological added value for the region. Without the employees, the people, nothing happens. That's why we have to promote people before technology," says Carlo Somaini, Delegate of the Board of Directors.
According to Somaini, flat hierarchies and opportunities to contribute one's ideas as an employee are two important factors that enable employees to develop their skills at aXpel composites. To give everyone the chance to benefit, they also train young people from integration networks.
